Flo-tech SIM™ Sensor Array with Load Valve Simultaneously Measures Flow, Pressure and Temperature

Racine, WIS. --- A new, turbine flow sensor, available with either U.S. or metric ports, has been introduced by the Flo-tech division of Racine Federated Inc. The SIM™ Sensor Array with load valve F6100 Series simultaneously measures the flow, pressure and temperature of mobile or stationary hydraulic systems and components.
The SIM™ Sensor Array's compact design offers four flow ranges with turbine flow measurement, making it perfect for providing diagnostic evaluation of hydraulic motors, pumps, valves, hydrostatic drives and cylinders. When performed as part of a routine preventative maintenance program, the SIM™ Sensor Array minimizes down time and repair or replacement costs.
Using the SIM™ Sensor Array is easy and quick. Simply make fluid line connections between the sensing array and appropriate locations in the hydraulic circuit. The load valve is used to create a restriction so that a relief valve setting or internal leakage of a valve or hydraulic cyclinder can be determined.
Flow, pressure and temperature sensors are threaded in the Array block and transmit signals that can be integrated with PCs, PLCs, recorders, and panel displays. The SIM™ also transmits signals to electronic readouts, strip chart recorders and data logging devices, such as Flo-tech's SIM-Check® Hydraulic System Analyzer. Each sensor has a self-contained conditioning circuit that converts raw sensor input to a 4-20mA analog output signal suitable for use with SIM-Check® system analyzers. Accuracy is a hallmark of Flo-tech's products, and the SIM™ Sensor Array with load valve is within ±1 percent over the full operating range.
The SIM™ Sensor Array is designed with three port sizes from SAE #12 to SAE #24, with flow ranges of 1-15 GPM (4-56 LPM); 2-30 GPM (7.5-113.6 LPM); 4-85 GPM (15-321 LPM) and 7-199.9 GPM (26-757 LPM). Units of measure include - GPM, LPM, PSI, BAR, MPa, degrees F and degrees C. Pressure rating is 6,000 psi (414 bar) and operating temperature to 300° F (150° C).
